Excavating Lamma Island, 2019
A collection of three booklets visualising a day of self-exploring Lamma Island, Hong Kong. By taking together both the personal perception of the perceiver and factual fragments from the island, like its infrastructural elements, its power structures, the geography, nature, and the passage of time, the publication explores what makes a location that location in relation its perceiver. In an attempt to present the site as a multitude of different realities, all three booklets address the same information, though from a different angle. Book 1 gives a subjective view through photography, book 2 an objective one through pragmatic descriptions, and 3 fictively in the form of a short story.

The Absence of Sound, 2016
€40
This 52 page book shows the possibilities of an abstract typeface focussed on emphasising white space. The typeface consists of 30 (5x6) glyphs that can be overlapped, patterned and layered, allowing to create a practically infinite amount of different combinations. The book divides in 5 chapters: the first displays the systematics behind the font, the second, in blue, shows basic patterns and structures, the third shows overlapping two layers/colours, the fourth three, and the last chapter focusses on irregular usage. The book is stencilprinted in 9 colours with a silkscreened cover, in a limited edition of 18. Available on demand.
